ROAD bike enthusiasts in WA will be the first to experience KTM Australia’s street fleet demo rides this weekend, as part of a tour of the nation with a full range of on-road KTM Motorcycles throughout 2010.

Starting at Causeway KTM in Victoria Park, followed by North City Motorcycles in Joondalup on March 20, the demo rides will allow for a 15- minute loop of riding KTM Naked Bikes, Supermoto Bikes, Sports Tourers, Adventure Bikes, and all new Superbike models.

Each demo ride will feature a lead rider and sweep rider, who are fully trained in all areas of KTM motorcycle enhancement, from technical set- up, to handling plus sales of parts and accessories.

The demo rides around the streets of Victoria Park, and Joondalup have been specifically chosen to allow riders to put each KTM motorcycle through its paces.

Basic requirements for participation include a valid Australian Open Class Motorcycle licence, plus full safety gear including helmet, jacket, pants, gloves and enclosed shoes or boots. All riders must register participation on-line before the ride days at www.ktm. com.au, where three bikes can be selected in order of preference to demo.

The ride in Joondalup runs from 1 to 3pm.

Yes David and seeing as how you mentioned it take a look when you are out and see all the motorcyclers that tailgate too and ride very close to other vehicles where it's hard to see them.

Stanley. What a shame there's no picture of a speed camera able to take pictures of the REAR license plate of any vehicle, car or bike. The type of camera of which there's more and more deployed to raise revenue, sorry, save lives. What a shame there's no cameras able to take pictures of the greatest menace on Perth roads, tailgaters in cars. Are you one? Not to mention drivers changing lanes without indicating, no ability to properly merge etc. etc.

Fantastic picture of how much room there is for a front numberplate ACROSS the front like any other vehicle.
